GANADO INDIANS AT SHINER COMANCHES
Last year: Shiner, 35-7.
Notes: Ganado (3-3, 0-1) and Shiner (6-0, 1-0) play for the eighth consecutive season as district opponents. Shiner owns a 4-3 edge during that span.
Shiner is ranked No. 4 in the state Class 2A poll and is coming off a win over Refugio.
Ganado dropped its district opener to Flatonia.
Shiner is off to its best start since 2008 when it finished the regular season at 8-1.
Ganado's Matthew Sterling has rushed for 582 yards and three touchdowns, and Garrett McCann has rushed for 492 yards and five touchdowns. Ganado's Caleb Thedford has four interceptions and returned two for touchdowns.
Shiner's Dadrian Taylor has rushed for a district-leading 611 yards and 12 touchdowns, Brandon Cerny has rushed for 427 yards and nine touchdowns, and Chad Neubauer has rushed for 355 yards and two touchdowns.
