TR Kerr scored the game’s only touchdown on a 10-yard pass from Otto Wofford late in the second quarter as Mason defeated Shiner 7-0 on Friday night ( November 24, 2017 ) in a Class 2A, Division I area-round playoff game in Pflugerville.

It was a defensive slugfest for these two teams, which met in the playoffs for the seventh time in eight seasons.

The Comanches (8-3) managed just 115 yards of offense, while the Punchers (12-0) had just over 200.

Five Shiner ball carriers combined for 93 yards, with Tyler Mikes leading the way with 25 yards on six carries.

Jake Cockerham led Mason offensively with 69 yards on 18 carries.
