Several Victoria area softball players were named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association 2015-2016 All-State team.
Class 2A state champion Shiner had three players make the all-state team. Senior pitcher Cece Darilek, who was named MVP of the state championship game, made the all-state team, along with sophomores Bethany Nevlud and Kailey Williams.
Weimer had a trio of players named to the team, including senior Ervin Hunter, junior Emma Holland and sophomore Darrian Smith. The Lady Cats reached the regional finals, where they dropped a three-game series to Shiner.
Sophomore Kyndal Kutac of Schulenburg Secondary School made the all-state team.
In Class 3A, Hallettsville had a pair of seniors Coco Caraway and Camille Grahmann, along with freshman Rylee Trlicek make the all-state team. The Lady Brahmas finished the year 30-3 and reached the regional semifinal round before losing to San Diego.
Brittany Sosa and Kayla Oliveira of Rice Consolidated High School made the all-state team in Class 3A.
In Class 4A, Cuero's ace pitcher Regan Dunn and senior Courtney Clark made the all-state team. Cuero advanced to the regional final round for the fist time in school history this season.
