Notes: Shiner (5-1, 0-1) and Ganado (2-4, 1-0) play for the seventh consecutive season as district opponents. The teams have split the previous six games and each one has determined the district champion.
Shiner lost its district opener to No. 1 Refugio in overtime and dropped from No. 7 to No. 9 in the state poll.
Ganado defeated Flatonia in its district opener.
Shiner’s Chad Neubauer has rushed for 729 yards and 10 touchdowns, and Tyler Patek has rushed for 623 yards and seven touchdowns.
Ganado’s Kameron Smith has an area-leading five interceptions.
