Shiner advanced to the Class 1A, Division I state final last season and is ranked No. 7 in the state poll.
Refugio advanced to the Class 2A, Division II state final last season and is ranked No. 1 in the state poll.
Shiner is coming off its bye week.
Refugio defeated Banquete 49-20 last week.
Shiner's Tyler Patek has rushed for 570 yards and seven touchdowns, and Chad Neubauer has rushed for 558 yards and nine touchdowns.
Refugio's Isaiah Perez has rushed for 575 yards and 14 touchdowns; Jaylon Mascorro has passed for 1,252 yards and 13 touchdowns and rushed for 531 yards and three touchdowns, and Tyler Castellano has 25 receptions for 493 yards and five touchdowns.
