Notes: Shiner (6-3) makes its 12th straight playoff appearance since becoming a Class 1A school when it plays Santa Maria (6-3). Shiner is the second seed in District 15-1A, and Santa Maria is the third seed in District 16-1A.

Shiner has won five of its last six games and has allowed a total of 65 points in those games. Shiner is yielding an average of 211.4 yards per game. Shiner's Marcus Coleman, Chad Neubauer and Jacob Stafford have combined to rush for 2,301 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Santa Maria's Isai Garcia has rushed for 920 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The winner plays Mason, which has a bye, in the area round.
