Industrial Cobras at Shiner Comanches
Last year: Shiner, 36-13.
Notes: Class 2A, Division I Industrial and Class 1A, Division I Shiner play for the fourth-straight time in the season opener. Shiner won last year after Industrial had won the previous two.
Shiner will unveil its new field house at the game. Shiner is ranked No. 7 in the preseason Class 1A state poll. Shiner returns all-state linebacker/running back Jacob Stafford and punter Hunter Mraz but must fill holes in the backfield.
Industrial returns seven starters on offense and defense. Shiner advanced to the semifinals last season and finished with a 12-2 record. Industrial went 3-7.
