Fric runs for three in Shiner's 54-6 win over Louise

Jarvis Williams was 6-of-6 passing for 143 yards and three touchdowns while Clayton Fric rushed for three touchdowns on three carries as Shiner defeated Louise 54-6 Friday ( October 31, 2025 ) in Louise to improve to 9-0 (4-0 in district) with one regular-season game left.

The Comanches got off to a hot start as Jake Simper returned the opening kickoff to the Louise 22 and Fric scored on the next play.

Shiner returned a short Louise punt to the Hornet 23 and Williams hit Landen Christensen on a 23-yard touchdown pass for a 13-0 lead with 8:37 left in the quarter.

Shiner's third drive started at the Louise 30 and the Comanches scored in three plays with Fric scoring on a 6-yard run at the 4:31 mark of the first frame.

Shiner went ahead 27-0 on a 47-yard pass from Williams to Boehm as Shiner went 56 yards in two plays.

In the second frame, Shiner recovered a Hornet fumble at the Louise 14 and Fric scored from the 3 a few plays later.

Shiner took a 40-0 lead with 1:40 left in the half as Boehm caught a 36-yard pass from Williams to cap a three-play, 68-yard drive.

Louise got on the board in the third quarter on a 1-yard touchdown run by Noah Crain with 36 seconds left, capping a 99-yard drive.

Shiner scored twice in the fourth quarter on a 65-yard run by Landyn Pohler and a 86-yard run by Jace Caddell.

Caddell led Shiner with 86 yards on his lone carry and Pohler ran two for 72 yards.

Connor Gonzalez led the Hornets with 106 rushing yards on nine carries.

The Comanches defense recovered two Hornet fumbles and forced four punts.

Shiner outgained the Hornets 374-173 despite the Comanches running just 17 plays on offense for an average of 22 yards a play, compared to Louise's 30 plays
