Comanches rally to defeat Cobras in overtime 27-21

Jarvis Williams threw for one touchdown and ran for two more, including the game winner, as Shiner edged Industrial 27-21 in overtime ( on Friday, September 19, 2025 ).
The Comanches led 14-7 at halftime, only for the Cobras to grab a 21-14 lead less than halfway through the third quarter before Shiner scored late in the third and then needed overtime as neither team scored in the fourth quarter.
In the overtime, Industrial went on offense first and it ended badly for the home team as Quincy Jones intercepted Cooper Francis on third down from the 26.
Shiner then ran two plays for net 2 yards rushing before Williams found the end zone on a 23-yard run to give Shiner the win.
After no scoring in the first quarter, Clayton Fric scored on a 7-yard touchdown run with 8:43 left in the second quarter.
The Cobras tied the game on an 8-yard run by Logan Thomas with 4:56 left in the first half.
Shiner then went up 14-7 at halftime after scoring on a three-play, 53-yard drive with Williams hitting Boe Boehm for 42 yards on second down to the Cobras 7 and Williams scoring on the next play.
Shiner fumbled the second-half kickoff and Industrial took advantage with a 21-yard run by Wyatt Kurtz barely a minute in.
Another Shiner fumble led to another Industrial score as Francis connected with Thomas on a 9-yard pass with 7:32 left in the third.
Comanches drew level with a 75-yard drive and an 8-yard pass by Williams to Landen Christensen to tie the game 21-21 with 54 seconds left in the third quarter.
Williams was 13-of-17 passing for 197 yards and one touchdown with Boehm catching five balls for 116 yards.
Shiner rushed for just 151 yards led by 77 yards and two scores by Williams with Fric adding one. For Industrial, Francis was 12-of-16 for 76 yards, touchdown and interception.
Kurtz led their ground game with 56 yards and one touchdown.
