The Shiner Comanches put 35 points on the board in the first 12 minutes on Friday ( October 25, 2024 ) at Pettus and rolled to a 50-0 win. It was their first scoreboard shutout of the season and the Comanches are now 5-3 (3-0) including a forfeit win over Charlotte.

While keeping with their veer run game with 21 carries for 193 yards and three touchdowns, Shiner also produced through the air as Carson Schuette was 3-for-7 for 125 yards and three touchdowns.

Jace Caddell led the ground game with 64 yards on seven carries.

Shiner forced three turnovers including two interceptions by Jarvis Williams with one pick-six.

Shiner started the scoring with a 32-yard run by Quincy Jones, his only carry of the game, for a 7-0 lead at 9:33 left in the first quarter.

The Comanches went up 14-0 with Williams' 10-yard interception return.

Pettus had a 5-yard punt to their 37 on their next drive and Schuette found Charlie Clifford for a 37-yard touchdown for a 20-0 lead after the point after was missed.

Williams got his second pick to set up the Comanches at the Eagle 14. Tyler Harvey punched it in on a 14-yard run and Caleb Cowan scored the two-point run for a 28-0 Shiner lead.

Shiner led 35-0 with 1:00 left in the opening frame after a 54-yard touchdown reception by Williams.

In the second quarter, Schuette tossed his third touchdown pass, going 27 yards to Boe Boehm. Shiner scored once in the second half, a 5-yard run by Cameron Evans and he had the two-point conversion run.
