The Comanches suffered a 23-0 loss at 3ADII Rice Consolidated on Friday ( September 6, 2024 ) .
The Raiders scored three touchdowns and converted a field goal.
Rice quarterback Kor'Dae Johnson completed 13-for-17 passing for 151 yards.
D'neriyan Fuller had seven catches for 107 yards. Rice dinged Shiner for 229 yards on the ground with Dyren Johnson leading the way with 74 yards on nine carries.
The Comanches had slight issues with ball security as they fumbled twice and lost both of them.
The Comanches offense ran 50 plays for 273 yards, went 6-of-12 passing for 117 yards and had 38 carries for 156 yards.
Rushers for Shiner were Caleb Lehnert who had 62 yards on 11 carries; Quincy Jones tallied 43 yards on 11 totes; Caleb Cowan had 23 yards on five attempts.
Carson Schuette ran 10 times for 17 yards and Boe Boehm had an 11-yard run.
Schuette hit 6-of-12 passes for 117 yards.
Bode Werner had two catches for 23 yards, Jarvis Williams had two grabs for 19 yards.
Jones had a 43-yard reception and Kyle Adamek had one catch for 32 yards.
Shiner (0-2) plays the second of a two-game road trip as they visit Poth this week.
