WEIMAR WILDCATS AT SHINER COMANCHES

The Comanches host the Weimar Wildcats tomorrow at Comanche Stadium.

Shiner opened district with a 42-0 win at rival Flatonia and are currently 7-0 on the season while Weimar is currently 0-2 in district (2-6) overall with 55-7 loss to Ganado and 49-0 loss to Schulenburg.

"They are a young team with a lot of sophomores and about five seniors," Shiner head coach Daniel Boedeker said.

The Wildcats are struggling to score with an average of less than 10 points a game and are yielding 33 points per game.

On offense, Weimar runs the spread with two back formations and will run the ball most of the time. "Quarterback Cole Duty is a good runner; they will get the ball to Dreylon McMillian who is a solid Hback," Boedeker said. "Wyatt Lacina is another running back weapon and Nunu Willson is a playmaker on the edge who can run or catch the ball so we will especially have to be aware of where he is."

Weimar usually runs the 3-3 stack on defense but will shift into the 4-2- 5 or the split.

"Our offense will need to be aware of what front their defense is in and have good communication up front so we can have the correct blocking schemes," he said.
