Shiner grad and Air Force Academy fullback Jacob Stafford has seen action in several
games so far this season for the Falcons.
In the VMI game, he had two carries for 7 yards, 3.5 average and long of 5 yards.
Stafford had one carry for 6 yards against San Diego State University.
Stafford had three rushes for 11 yards against New Mexico with long rush of 5 yards, 3.7
average. He had had one carry for 2 yards against Navy and one carry for 9 yards against
UNLV.
In the contest against Nevada, Stafford ran 13 times for 58 yards, a long of 13 and
around a 4.5 average.
He had his best game in the Falcon’s recent action against Colorado State this past
weekend. In the 45-28 AFA win, Stafford ran nine times for a season-high 104 yards and
one touchdown, a 53-yarder. His 11.4 yards a carry average led the team.
Stafford’s rushing stats so far in the season are 197 yards on 30 carries, 6.6 per carry, one touchdown,
long run of 53 yards and 24.6 yards average/game for eight games.
