Game Preview: Weimar Wildcats at Shiner Comanches

The Comanches return home for the first time since September 16 when they faced Falls City, to play Weimar.

"It is going to be an interesting game. Weimar's 21-20 loss to Yorktown could have gone either way," Shiner head coach Steven Cerny said.

Weimar has lots of team speed but their offensive production has been hampered after the loss of running back Jadon Blanks due to injury.

The Wildcats line up in the twins set and the split-back formation, similar to Shiner. They also run some shotgun. Receiver RavonDre Wicks is a fast player who will also take some snaps out of the wildcat.

"We need to make Weimar earn every yard, contain their speed and our defensive line has to use its quickness," Cerny said.

Weimar has shown the 4-3 and the split on defense this year.

"Our line has to maintain their blocks," he said.

With the schedule, this will be the first of two district home games for Shiner.

"This game is big for our seniors," Cerny said.
