The state-ranked Comanches continued their winning streak Friday night (September 18, 2015)
in Lexington with a 49-28 victory.
Shiner jumped out early with 3 touchdowns in the first quarter and 2 more in the second.
They went into halftime with a 35-0 lead.
In the second half, they gave up four touchdowns, but added two more of their own.
Dadrian Taylor led the team in rushing with 142 yards on 8 carries and in touchdowns,
racking up 4 running and 1 more receiving for a total of 5 TDs on the night. Charles
Haynes contributed 37 yards on 5 carries and Justin Stein added 30 more yards on 6.
Quarterback Brandon Cerny went 3 for 7 passing for 166 passing yards and two touchdowns,
one to Taylor and the other received by Jordan Malinovsky. Cerny also ran one in himself
to complete the scoring for the Comanches.
Stein, Haynes, and Chad Neubauer each had interceptions, and Neubauer also kicked 6 extra
points in as many attempts. The final point after touchdown was kicked successfully by
Cole Jalufka.
The Comanches will be on the road again this Friday (September 25, 2015) at Rice
Consolidated where they will take on the Raiders at 7:30 p.m.
