KENEDY - Lightning in the sky caused game officials to send both teams to their respective locker rooms approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled kickoff at 7:30pm. Shortly thereafter, the skies opened up and several inches of rain fell in a severe thunderstorm.
Officials called off the game and after discussions later that evening, coaches from both teams decided to cancel the game completely.
