Shiner's Veit makes all-state team

Shiner's Chase Veit was named to the Associated Press Sports Editors Class 1A all-state high school football team, which was released Monday.
Veit made the second-team defense on the line.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pounder is a senior for the Comanches, who compiled an 8-5 record this season before losing to Iola in the quarterfinals 34-7.
Veit was also named to the All-District 31-1A first-team defense at tackle.
Veit was the lone selection to the elite squad from the Advocate coverage area.
