Stafford shines as Shiner overwhelms Yorktown

YORKTOWN - Shiner quarterback Jacob Stafford scored four touchdowns as the Comanches rushed for 400 yards against District 15-1A, Division I rival Yorktown.
Stafford scored on runs of 1, 47 and 15 yards. He also scored on a 35-yard pass to Evel Jones. Stafford finished the night with 124 yards on 7 carries.
Jones scored again for the Comanches on a 55-yard run and finished with 90 yards on 5 carries. Also scoring for Shiner (3-5, 1-1) was Marlon Wallace on a 9-yard run.
While Caleb Curtis did not score, he did lead the Comanches in rushing with 134 yards on 17 carries.
Jayden Barefield provided the only score for Yorktown (3-4, 1-1) on am 84-yard run. The standout running back finished the night with a massive 207 yards on 19 carries, averaging almost 11 yards per carry.
