WOODSBORO - Dexter Mayberry scored three touchdowns as the Shiner Comanches grounded out 440 yards of offense in a 28-0 District 31-1A win over the Woodsboro Eagles.
Mayberry scored on runs of 10, 60 and 6 yards while gaining 128 yards on 9 carries and Adam Kalich picked up 107 yards on 7 carries and scored the first touchdown of the game on a 65-yard gallop.
Shiner quarterback Kyle Condel rushed for 101 yards on 13 carries and completed 2 of 3 passes - both to Kalich - for 12 yards.
Shiner improved to 3-1 in district and 4-4 overall while Woodsboro fell to 0-5 in district and 3-6 overall.
Woodsboro's Ronald Escamilla gained 125 yards on 20 carries while Thomas Villegas picked up 47 yards on 12 carries.
