SHINER - Chris Baer rushed for five touchdowns while gaining only 82 yards on the night in the top-ranked Shiner Comanches' 66-7 District 30-1A rout of the Louise Hornets.

Shiner (7-0, 3-0) limited the Hornets to only 71 total yards. Louise (0-8, 0-4) crossed midfield just once in the game and that came on C.J. Clemens' 74-yard touchdown run with 5:45 left in the fourth quarter.

Baer had touchdown runs of 3, 4, 7 and 10 yards in the first half as the Comanches took a 46-0 lead into intermission. Baer ran 3 yards for his last touchdown early in the third quarter to make it 53-0.

Kenzley Wright scored two touchdowns, one on a 37-yard pass from Trey Curtis and the other on a 10-yard run in the fourth quarter. Chase O'Connor had a 24-yard TD reception from Curtis in the first quarter and Jared Boedeker rambled 46 yards for a third-quarter touchdown.

Scott Shimek had a 21-yard field goal just before the half and the Comanches scored early in the second quarter when Louise snap went over the Hornet punter's head and out of the end zone.
