SHINER - Quentin Wright returned the opening kickoff 86 yards to score for the Shiner Comanches setting the tone for the rest of the District 30-A matchup that resulted in a 47-0 victory over the Charlotte Trojans.
The rest of Shiner's scoring in the first quarter came on a 1-yard run by Chris Baer, a 35-yard pass to Wright from Garet Pustka, and a 29-yard pass to Wright from Pustka.
R.J. Lester picked up the extra points after the first two touchdowns and Pustka added two points to the score on a 2-yard run after the fourth touchdown.
Shiner's scoring in the second quarter came on a 69-yard run by Steven Evans and a 70-yard interception return by Desmond Brooks. Lester hit on one of two extra points.
Adron Price made the final touchdown of the night on a 5-yard run and Lester's kick was blocked.
