CHARLOTTE - Shiner jumped out to a 29-point first-half lead and never relented as it won its District 30-1A opener against Charlotte 35-14 to remain undefeated.
Garet Pustka scored his first of two touchdowns of the night from 48 yards just three minutes into the game.
Shiner's Chris Baer, who finished with a game-high 168 rushing yards on 16 carries, had a 74-yard touchdown scamper three minutes later.
Quentin Wright's touchdown run made it 20-0. Shiner (6-0, 1-0) then scored on a safety after Charlotte's snap for a punt went out of the end zone.
Pustka and Wright each scored again in the second half to push Charlotte to 3-3 and 0-1 in district play.
