BOLING - The Shiner Comanches capitalized on a Boling turnover in the first quarter and hung on for a 7-6 victory over the Bulldogs.
After recovering a Boling fumble at the Bulldogs' 14, Shiner (3-0) scored on a 14-yard run by quarterback Garet Pustka.
Scott Shimek's extra point made it 7-0 with 2:41 left in the first quarter.
Carlton Waddy, who rushed for 300 yards on 37 carries, got Boling (0-3) on the board on a 5-yard run with 8:28 left in the third quarter.
Shiner linebacker Chris Baer blocked Boling's extra-point try to preserve Shiner's 7-6 lead.
Boling drove to the Shiner 27, 19 and 17, but came away each time without any points. Pustka rushed for 131 yards on 22 carries. Baer added 60 yards on 12 carries.
