SHINER -- Using a massive ground attack the Shiner Comanches rolled by the Schulenburg Shorthorns 35-21.

Three different running backs rushed for over 100 yards as the Comanches tallied 403 yards on the ground and scored in every quarter.

Sophomores Garrett Pustka and Quentin Wright led the charge along with senior Bryan Franklin.

Pustka rushed for 123 yards on 15 carries, scoring on a 1-yard run in the second quarter. Wright added touchdown runs of 1 and 57 yards as he rushed for 120 yards on 16 carries and Franklin finished with 104 yards on eight carries and a 7-yard TD run.

Shiner jumped out to a 22-0 lead, but the Shorthorns broke on the scoreboard with a Jeff Jurica 78- yard fumble return with 1:14 to play in the first half.

Schulenburg finished its scoring in the fourth as Daniel Rosas, who threw for 203 yards, connected with Chris Marek on a 14-yard pass.

Rosas then went 11 yards for another score with 3:01 to play to wrap up the Shorthorns' scoring.
