EAST BERNARD -- Chris Baer scored twice as the Shiner Comanches blanked the East Bernard Brahmas 35-0.

Baer opened the Comanches' scoring on a 3-yard run and Scott Shimek connected with Nick Evans on a two-point conversion for an 8-0 lead.

Shiner quarterback Trey Curtis, who rushed for 96 yards on 13 carries, put the game out of reach in the second quarter on scoring runs of 2 and 21 yards.

Ryan Kloesel finished off the Shiner (2-0) scoring on a 1-yard run, while Shimek added three extra points.

East Bernard (0-2) was limited to 68 yards rushin and 34-yards passing.
