SHINER - Shiner overwhelmed Flatonia on both sides of the ball. The Comanches garnered almost 400 yards rushing while holding the Bulldogs to only 16 yards on the ground.
Six different players scored touchdowns for Shiner (8-0, 4-0) in its 51-0 District 27-1A win.
Adam Kalich scored twice for Shiner on runs of 10 and 47 yards.
Matthew Hibbs also provided two scores, once on a 4-yard pass from Quentin Loos and again on a 54-yard run.
Josh Greathouse had a 77-yard scoring run. Greathouse was the leading rusher for the Comanches, carrying the ball merely five times for 164 yards, averaging a stunning 32.8 yards per carry.
Lance Otto also scored on a 4-yard run.
The Comanche defense also came up with two scores, once on a Gabe McAfee 21-yard interception return and again on a safety, sacking the Flatonia quarterback in his own end zone.
Flatonia (6-2, 2-2) had to spend most of the night in the air, passing for 126 yards.
