DIVISION I BI-DISTRICT

SHINER COMANCHES VS. BEN BOLT BADGERS

FRI 11/16 @ 7:30 PM - WOODSBORO

NOTES: District 31-1A champion Shiner (7-3) and District 32-1A third-place finisher Ben Bolt (4-6) meet for the third straight year in bi-district and the fourth time in the last five postseasons. Shiner has won the previous four meetings, including a 27-0 victory last season. Shiner is making its 10th consecutive playoff appearance and eighth straight since become a Class 1A school. Shiner is ranked No. 17 in the Texas Football poll and has won seven straight since losing to Class 2A Schulenburg, Brazos Consolidated and East Bernard. Ben Bolt has won three straight since losing to Charlotte, Gorman, Banquete, Brackettville, La Villa and Bruni. Shiner’s Kyle Condel, D.J. Pustka and Cody Franke have combined to rush for 2,002 yards and 32 touchdowns. Ben Bolt’s David Ramirez has passed for 817 yards and nine touchdowns and rushed for 562 yards and five touchdowns. Winner advances to regional against Brackettville (6-4), which had a bi-district bye.

DIVISION II BI-DISTRICT

LOUISE HORNETS VS. BRUNI BADGERS

FRI 11/16 @ 7:30 PM - ROCKPORT

NOTES: Louise (7-3) was the top seed in District 31-2A and Bruni (9-1) was the second seed in District 32-1A. Louise is making its first playoff appearance since 2000 when it was a Class 2A school. Louise is seeking its first playoff win since 1986 when it was a Class 1A school. Louise lost to Ganado, Shiner and Falls City and had to win its final game against Pettus to make the playoffs. Bruni lost to La Villa. Louise has allowed 13 points or fewer in six of its seven wins. Louise’s Kyle Lawson has rushed for 1,181 yards and 14 touchdowns and Antwon Parsons has rushed for 783 yards and 10 touchdowns. Louise’s Chris Hicks has six interceptions and Corey Hajovsky has five interceptions. Winner advances to area against D’Hanis (10-0), which had a bye in bi-district.


DIVISION II BI-DISTRICT

FLATONIA BULLDOGS VS. LA VILLA CARDINALS

THU 11/15 @ 7:00 PM - MATADOR STADIUM, SEGUIN

NOTES: Flatonia (6-4) was the second seed in District 31-1A and La Villa (9-1) was the top seed in District 32-2A. Flatonia is making its first playoff appearance since 2004 when it advanced to the area round. La Villa defeated Pettus 33-6 in last year’s bi-district playoff and advanced to the regional playoffs. Flatonia’s Jordan Williams has passed for 1,363 yards and 12 touchdowns, Adrian Lighteard has rushed for 1,026 yards and 14 touchdowns and Hunter Pinney has 32 receptions for 351 yards and one touchdown. La Villa’s J.D. Cisneros has passed for a school-record 2,819 yards and 41 touchdowns. Winner plays Sabinal, which had a bye in bi-district.
