SHINER -- The Shiner Comanches' 62-14 win over the Flatonia Bulldogs was all about their running game.
The Comanches gained 458 rushing yards but picked up no passing yardage. The Comanches got on the board at 9:32 in the first quarter, getting a safety from a Bulldogs' bad snap. They scored a second safety a little more than a minute later.
D. J. Pustka scored the Comanches' first touchdown with a 34-yard run. Pustka rushed for 146 yards in the win, while Cody Franke ran for three touchdowns to lead the Comanches in scoring.
Brandon Williams scored both of Flatonia's touchdowns, catching a 35-yard TD pass from Jordan Williams in the second quarter and running in a 1-yard score in the third quarter.
