SHINER COMANCHES AT CHARLOTTE TROJANS
LAST YEAR: Shiner, 36-0.
NOTES: Shiner (3-3, 2-0) returns to District 31-1A play after having a bye last week and takes on Charlotte (4-3, 0-3). Shiner will attempt to go over the .500 mark for the first time this season and move into a tie with Flatonia for the district lead. Shiner is ranked No. 21 in the Texas Football poll. Shiner outscored district foes Louise and Pettus by a combined 102-15. Shiner's Kyle Condel, D.J. Pustka and Cody Franke have combined to rush for 1,069 yards and 13 touchdowns.
LOUISE HORNETS AT FALLS CITY BEAVERS
LAST YEAR: Falls City, 25-24.
NOTES: Falls City (2-4, 1-1) has won three of its last five games against District 31-1A opponent Louise (5-2, 2-1) and four of the five games have been decided by a total of 13 points, including one that went to overtime. The winner of this game will hold at least a share of second place. Louise has allowed a total of 31 points in its five wins.
PETTUS EAGLES AT WOODSBORO EAGLES
LAST YEAR: Pettus, 35-14.
NOTES: District 31-1A opponents Pettus (5-1, 1-1) and Woodsboro (1-6, 0-3) meet for the sixth straight season in district play. Pettus owns a 3-2 edge during that span. Pettus bounced back from a district-opening loss to Shiner to defeat Charlotte last week. Woodsboro has suffered district losses to Falls City, Flatonia and Louise and has surrendered at least five touchdowns in each of those losses.
