SHINER -- Capitalizing on five Shiner fumbles, the Brazos Consolidated Cougars shut out the Comanches 17-0.

Brazos Consolidated (1-1) scored in teh first quarter on a Derek Brewer 72-yard run.

After recovering a Shiner (0-2) fumble, Victor Carbajal kicke a 29-yard field goal for a 10-0 Brazos lead.

The Cougars rounded out the scoring when Donta Robinson returned another Comanche fumble for 33 yards in the second quarter.

Brewer led the Cougars by rushing 93 yards on 13 carries and one touchdown.

Lance Otto let Shiner with 13 carries for 31 yards.
