Area players named to TGCA All-State softball squads

Shiner's Heather Haas and Maci Schaefer were selected to the Texas Girls Coaches Association's Class 1A all-state softball team.
Haas and Schaefer helped lead the Lady Comanches finish with a 22-7-1 record after advancing to the state final. Haas was also selected to the Class 1A all-tournament team.
Woodsboro's Megan Carter was also picked for the Class 1A team.
Kailey Kubesch and Kelli Berger, who helped Weimar advance to the Class 2A regional final, were selected to the Class 2A all-state team.
Van Vleck's Amy Griffin and Lesli Huerta were also chosen for the Class 2A team.
